We are very excited to share this featured article that we had such a pleasure working on; A gorgeous rustic bridal shoot last year in the stunning setting of sunny Florence, now in print in Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Magazine.
The inspiration behind this piece was natural beauty with a rustic tone, very fitting with the location, one of the most beautiful cities in the Italian region of Tuscany.
Working with a variety of hair styles for the collection of dresses chosen; we opted for fresh flowers in the hair worked in amongst a very elegant feminine curled and twisted up do. Alternative styles included simple hair down with a soft curl - to a add a touch of vintage glamour, the brides wore a selection of our understated headpieces carefully pinned into place at the side of the head. For the real boho style, which is an ever growing trend with brides at the moment, we chose a headpiece to sit around the head with the centrepiece focus to the forehead.
These hairstyles were all teamed with a very fresh natural dewy base for sheer radiance every bride should have. Throughout the looks you can see subtle hints of peach and rose used on the apple of the cheek and lips, along with a dusting of bronzer for a light sunkissed glow, perfect for any destination wedding.
For all destination weddings it is so important to use waterproof make up, not only as it is a very emotional day so you are highly likely to shed a few happy tears but the heat and perspiration can cause make up to slip and create a real shine to the face too. My key tip for make up in the heat is to use a great primer to start and it is also a must to set all make up with a fixer or translucent finishing powder too.
See some of my favourite products I never fail to have in my kit for a Destination Wedding sun kissed Bridal look.
