Winter weddings, festive parties, work do's and Christmas balls....

With so many exciting events happening throughout this festive month ahead, we are here to help with some top make up tips for the party season!

Most of us need a quick fix at this time of year when looking to go from day to night without a chance to go home and get ourselves prettified!

Here are a few essentials to transform you from your day at the office look to party glamour!

Firstly - always make sure you start the day using a good primer for the face, eyes and lip - this will ensure your base make up will stay looking gorgeous all day long into the night and you can then just build on this.

Other essentials are a set of good brushes!  How you apply your make up can really make all the difference - a face blending stipple brush, contour brush and eyeshadow brush are well needed on hand.

If you are looking to add a smokey eye to vamp up your evening look, our Brow and Eyeshadow Palettes from HD Brows are perfect and compact, with shades to create the complete look.  The Eye and Brow palettes also have a wax in to perfect your brows to really shape the face.

HD Brows Kajal compliments the palettes beautifully too - smooth, soft and easy to apply with a densely pigmented formula the Kajal is a long lasting eyeliner perfect for smudging and blending for a quick fix smokey eye when on the go with real intensity.  And try working in some gold glitter for a real sparkle!

Mascara!  This is essential for a powerful eye, it is often difficult to add more and more over old mascara without getting clumpy.  Try using a touch of vaseline and a clean mascara wand to freshen them up first to help separate the lashes before adding a fresh coat of mascara.

To keep tired eyes looking bright try using this medium-soft kohl pencil in a neutral nude tone designed to reduce unwanted pinkness, visually widening and brightening the eyes. Created with carefully selected waxes the Eye Opener is easy to apply with high colour pigments providing good coverage and long lasting results!  Great through this party season.

Highlighter - a lovely shimmer never goes a miss in the party season and helps enhance your beautiful features.  Using a contour brush apply to the top of the cheekbones.  Add a little to the top lip to emphasis your cupids bow bringing out that sexy pout tempting a kiss under the mistletoe!

Festive Make Up
Keeping it festive, an intense mulled-wine colour across your lip makes a strong, mysterious statement to stand out from the crowd or opt for a popping bright red lipstick - use a primer first to ensure it stays put throughout the night.

If brights aren't your thing, try glossy soft pink lips - the epitome of girlish glamour and the ideal complement to almost any look from a heavy smoky eye or a no-makeup makeup look. The key to keeping your makeup look that little bit more polished.

Remember make up always sits best on well hydrated skin.
