WOW, another crazy busy week for the Gemma Sutton team - this time in Italy!

On the 16th August, Gemma and Michelle (Miss Sunshine) from the Pro Team headed to the beautiful Villa Reina Teodolina venue in Laglio, Lake Como. The girls were excited to note that George Clooney lives only TWO doors up and had great fun trying to see if they could sneak a peek at him.

The day before the wedding, Gemma and Michelle had a chilled day at the hotel chilling by the pool, with the amazing backdrop of Lake Como. The hotel - Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort and Spa - was absolutely gorgeous, with outstanding restaurants offering fresh fish and fruity smoothies.

Even better, Jennifer Aniston was staying at the same time, working on a new film. It was definitely a luxury experience. The bride, Sarah had planned her Italian destination wedding down to a T.

Makeup to beat the heat

The morning of the wedding, Gemma got to work on the hair and makeup for the bride. Whilst Miss Sunshine worked on the brides mums hair and makeup, as well as the bridesmaids hair.

Sarah opted for beautifully soft, set loose waves in a half up, half down style. As a delicate extra, fresh Italian flowers were added to add accents to the style. Her makeup was kept completely matte to avoid shine in the hot weather and then set to ensure every product stayed in place. To do this, Gemma mixed Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation with Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter Primer and Highlighter, with contour by Tom Ford.

Individual lashes were then added to add the glam factor, and to make the pretty pink MAC eyeshadow pop.

The wedding was kept fairly small, with a party of around 60 guests, overall a very chilled, quiet and absolutely beautiful place. All ingredients for a perfect destination wedding!
