The Wedding Industry Awards hosted at Cafe De Paris, London for the National awards.
What a night it was! Over 400 of the wedding industry's brightest talents from all over the country descended on the capital city for a fantastic evening at the world famous Cafe de Paris, tucked away in a corner of Leicester Square, to celebrate the successes of the 2014 wedding season and find out who would be crowned the best in all 27 categories. It was a fabulous decadent night, we were greeted with Champagne reception on arrival, followed by tasty canapés whilst catching up with some familiar faces and having the opportunity to mingle with some of the competition from around the nation, before sitting down for the award presentation.
The Wedding Industry Awards are seen as a kitemark of excellence and an example of prestige amongst wedding suppliers so we are extremely excited and proud about being awarded this and hope to maintain our title next year!
Thoroughout November, The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) scoured England across 7 regions for the best wedding suppliers available. After an initial voting period by clients from the past 12 months, an expert judging panel took into consideration voter scores and comments to draw up regional shortlists and subsequent winners. After attending the Regional Awards at Farnham Castle back in November and learning of our win as Best Regional MUA we were very excited about the prospect of being up against the best in the Nation and looked forward to the London award ceremony with anxious anticipation.
Newly wed, Sky News Sunrise Reporter, Isabel Webster took to the stage with founder Damien Bailey to present the well deserved awards. Now in its 4th year, TWIA have gone from strength to strength and the judging panel boasts some of the most esteemed names in the wedding industry. With nearly 1,500 companies entering the 2015 awards and over 30,000 couples voting for their suppliers, it has made it the most competitive year to date. Daniel Sandler, Sarah Brock and Kaz Fernado who are such prestigious artists in the industry that I have followed for many years were the judges of the make up category this year, making it even more of an exciting moment for us to have been announced Best National Make Up Artist.
"I absolutely love what I do, it is very special being such an important part of a bride's big day, so to be awarded for it is an extremely exciting moment for myself and the team."
With live entertainment including acapella vocal group The Buzztones and hybrid DJ group Organic Jam, an evening of celebrations with a lot of dancing certainly followed on long into the night! We also couldn't go without having a snapshot in the two photo booths provided by LookLook which were great fun! Needless to say there were a few sore heads in the studio the following morning!
