Sultry Smokey Eyes for the Festive Party Season

First things first, it is so important to keep hydrated to maintain great skin. During the party season that can be tough with all the festivities so ensure to keep drinking lots of water along with that mulled wine!

Every great festive makeup look must start with a good foundation base and the first rule of fluid foundation is to always apply with a brush to get that flawless look. One of our favourites to use is by Korres, it has a creamy refreshing texture with a medium to high buildable coverage and natural luminous finish. It also has an SPF 15 in which is always important even in the winter months. Use an HD Brows foundation brush to deliver a uniform and even foundation application every time.

HD brushes

We love the sultry smokey eye with a sparkle for a classic Christmas party look. Using an eyeshadow brush start by applying a base matt eyeshadow in a light tone across the lid right up to the brow bone, building up slowly with darker tones, constantly blending as you go. Use satin shades with a subtle iridescence to lift the colour. The HD Brow range has a wide variety of brushes for this, along with their eyeshadow palettes which are brilliant, containing a range of shades in two different powder textures. To enhance that sparkly glam festive feel add a touch of glitter to the inner eye.

Next add lashings of mascara, Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara is perfect for this, adding both volume and definition. Alternatively, for that ultra wow factor add some of our favourite HD Brows Faux Lashes. Sold in 3 styles to suit all and in pairs of two so you can create the look again over the festive period.

Cremeblend Blush from Mac

Cheeks have got to have a little-flushed look at Christmas, so add a pop of colour with a Cremeblend Blush from Mac, its easy to blend formula imparts a natural smooth, dewy fresh finish.

Opt for a fairly neutral lip to finish off, as the smokey eyes are the main feature with this look. Use a good Lip Butter, Korres do a lovely Pomegranate one, which prevents them getting chapped in this cold weather. Followed with a lightly pigmented wet-shine gloss. HD Brows have a lovely range enriched with vitamin E and moisturising emollients to visibly plump and condition the lips.

Now enjoy your glamorous festive makeup look partying the night away!
