A fun team building day in the GS Studio. It was packed out with the GS Pro Team.

As Artists we strive to be the very best and believe it is key to constantly continue training and learning, keeping up to date with new techniques, products and styles, ensuring we are always staying current.  We also believe what better way then to learn from one an another - this week we held a training day at the GS Studios with some of the fellow Stylists from the Pro Team teaching and sharing with one another their strongest skills.

Silver Stylist, Miss Rainbow kicked the training day off sharing her fabulous pro blow drying techniques.  Being able to blow dry obviously sounds like a basic skill that all our hair stylists can of course successfully do, however there is always room for improvement with little tips to make it sleeker.  There is a big difference in having a blow dry and then having a fantasitc styled blow dry - It is such an important skill.

Blow dries are becoming more and more popular now with brides, mother of the brides, bridesmaids - looking for a big volumised blow dry with a soft curl wearing their hair down or half up.  We wanted to ensure all of our team were confident in creating this, understanding different techniques along with what products to use to get lift right from the root.

We followed with a classic Bridal MU look with soft golden tones from Gold Artist Miss Impeccable - having been in the MU industry for 16 years, with astounding experience behind her from working at London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks working with top designers, assisting top make up artists in the industry such as Val Garland and Charlotte Tilbury, and working for prestigious brands such as Bobbi Brown and MAC where she learnt real product knowledge to enable her as a successful freelance artist.  It is such a great opportunity for us to be able to share her wealth of knowledge with the rest of the Team.  She covered many expert skills from cleansing and skincare which is essential to get perfect before make up application, to lash application, blending, contouring and strobing.

Gemma also got involved sharing her secrets on securing a popular bridesmaids hair style using real hair extensions blended into the style.  The lesson focused on securing hair extensions and how to work them into a style, working to compliment a face shape, along with top tips on curling hair using the straightening irons and ensuring the completed style is fixed with just the right amount of product and pins ensuring it stays put right until the last dance of the night!

It was a great day of bonding and lovely to have our fantastic Pro Team all together!
